Somewhere between starting my photography business and having my own children –
I fell in love with birth photography.
I love everything about birth stories. No two are alike.
Maybe it’s the fact that It's the most authentic and raw photography. The feeling of new life, the harsh pain and joyful cries of a mothers love – it’s all there and it’s all beautiful.
I've experienced both sides of the camera.
I’ve had 2 of my 3 births photographed and these are some of the images I hold most near to my heart.
As a mom myself, I can empathize with everything you’re feeling on the laboring end. I know how to put you at ease & be a supportive presence during this challenging (but incredibly beautiful) time.

Do you charge by the hour?
I do not! I discuss with you when I will typically show up during your labor. And I stay about an hour after baby has arrived. Depending on if it’s your 1st or 4th birth, the time your labor lasts will be different!
How long are you typically present during the birth?
On average, 6 hours. This, of course, is unpredictable, but in a nutshell I like to try to tell the whole story of your birth.
Are you always on call?
I am at your beck and call 2 weeks before your due date, and 1 week after. My phone will always be on me and I will be checking in at the beginning and end of each week.
Is there any chance you could miss my birth?
Yes, there’s no guarantee. Baby could come quickly, or I could have a car accident (Yep I said it!) However, if I miss baby’s arrival, you will be gifted a Newborn Session or First 48 of your choice.
I have so many questions! I've never done this before! How will I know what I don't know yet?
I totally feel you, mama. That’s why I plan to have an in-person meeting with you and your significant other in the comfort of your home (or elsewhere if you prefer) to go through and prepare you, meet you and get to know you like a friend. Because that’s what it will feel like when I’m with you at your birth, a friend. :)
